How to choose a right JAB hammer for carrier?


Step 1

Research what it is that you are buying. You may or may not need a big hydraulic hammer.
Leam about these before you invest in one.

Check your machine. It means carrier. It may excavator or loader.
Maybe, you can check the brand and model name.

Step3

Consider size. Determine the weight class that you need.
Most people will want a medium sized hydraulic hammer which can be suitable for around 20tons excaavator.
In that case,
I can recommend our JB80 or RB21 model for your carrier.

If you don't know the weight class of your carrier, just inform us the model name of your excavator.

JAB Co., Ltd. have two series of hydraulic breaker.
One is JB-Series, another is RB-Series. They are just different by operating principle.
JB-Series can be operated by hydraulic & gas-assisted power and they are popular in Asian market.
RB-Series can be operated by all hydraulic power from carrier and they are popular in European market.
You can choose one of them for the right choice of your carrier.

JAB Co., Ltd. have four types of breaker housing(cover).

T-Type General Type. Open typed housing design. Twin plated steel cover.
S-Type Silenced Type. Box typed housing design.
This type is recommended for civil work makes lower standard noise level.
SL-Type This type can be suitable for Skid-steer loader.
BL-Type This type can be suitable for backhoe loader.

You can choose the right type for your carrier and working condition.

How to choose the right JAB working tool for hammer?

Use a Moil Tool when optimal tool penetration of weak metamorphic and sedimentary rock is required.
Generally, chisel & moil tool are suitable for most working jobs. Chisel is preferred in some trenching applications.
Moil point causes less burring in tool retainer pin area. Blunt tool is not required to penetrate the material.
Instead, the material is broken by strees waves generated by the hammer passing through the tool into the material.
For most boulder breaking applications, blunt tool provides an excellent combination of productivity and resistance to wear

How to use JAB's Hammer correctly for an extended life time?
For optimum hammer life, it is vital that the hammer is used correctly and that all maintenance and lubrication schedules are followed


Do not hammer in one spot more than 10-15 seconds. this will prevent overheating which leads to premature wear.

Stop breaking before material collapses to avoid blank firing that will cause stresses.

Keep hammer at a 90-degree angle to the material to be broken and do not pry with the tool. Operating at the correct angle will reduce tool stress and fatigue.

Reposition the tool as the penetration slows for optimum production.
